Resolutions submitted to the General Secretary

In the General Body meeting held on 12-4-2008, the following resolutions were adopted unanimously. A copy of said resolutions has been sent to the General Secretary on 2-5-2008 to take necessary action. The resolutions are detailed below.

1) Revision of existing financial powers of Group B Officers and Group B Postmasters in general and in respect of repairs of computers in particular.

2) Revision of rate of honorarium for evaluation of Answer Scripts of Departmental Examinations – to be enhanced to Rs.10 per each paper.

3) Revision of honorarium for Supervision of Departmental Examinations—to be enhanced to Rs.250/- per day.

4) Provision of Inspection Vehicles to all the Divisional Superintendents—There are no vehicles to the SPOs, Suryapet and Wanaparthy Divisions.

5) Inter change of Officers in JTS/STS should be stopped and ad-hoc promotions to STS should be restored.

6) The ceiling on diesel consumption should be with drawn in view of BD, RPLI and PLI activities.

7) Payment of incentive to the Divisional Heads for RPLI/PLI work done on par with other officials.

8) Issue of adhoc promotions in the vacant Group B posts to reduce pressure on other officers.

9) Provision of lap-top to all Divisional Heads.

10) Filling up of all vacant Stenograpaher` posts in the Circle.

11) Provision of two more Asst. Directors in Regional Offices on par with Gujarat/Tamil Nadu Circles.

12) Immediate upgradation of Nizamabad, Khammam and Adilabad Divisions to JTS Group A cadre.

13) Filling up of AD posts in all ROs/CO with senior Officers.

14) The crucial date of reckoning the eligibility service as on 1st January should be dispensed with and DPCs should be held well before the recruitment year and the promotions effected during the vacancy year.

It is learnt that the CR files of the following officers, who are in the zone of consideration for promotion to PSS Group B for the year 2008-09 were called for for review in the ensuing DPC.
